Claire O’Connor is a Staff Attorney* who covers food, soil, and water issues for NRDC. Claire grew up as the fifth generation of family farmers in rural Nebraska, where she learned the importance of preserving the health of the land for future generations. At NRDC, she promotes environmentally friendly farming practices that help make farms more resilient to extreme weather.

She previously worked as a law clerk for a U.S. Senate committee and as a policy analyst at Georgetown’s Harrison Institute for Public Law. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and Georgetown University Law Center.
