Elizabeth Shope is an Advocate in the International Program. She splits her time between fighting tar sands and tar sands infrastructure such as the Keystone XL pipeline, and advocating for U.S. policies to support an increase in safe drinking water and sanitation in developing countries. Prior to joining NRDC in 2009, Elizabeth worked with Greenpeace on their Kleercut campaign, and with the Energy Action Coalition to organize Powershift 2007. She holds a degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University.
