Bio
Meleah Geertsma is an Attorney with NRDC’s Climate and Clean Air Program, where she focuses on strategies for reducing greenhouse gases through the Clean Air Act and other policies.
Prior to joining NRDC in 2010, Meleah was an attorney with the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago, where she specialized in control of major industrial sources of air pollution in the Midwest. While at ELPC, she co-taught an undergraduate seminar on Environmental Law and Policy at the University of Chicago. Meleah also worked for two years in health care antitrust for the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C., before attending law school. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and holds a master’s of public health from the Harvard School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
