Bio
Naveen Adusumilli is a Science Fellow and Water Economist in the NRDC’s Water Program. He works out of Washington, DC office. Naveen specializes in natural resource economics with emphasis on environmental valuation, optimization models, and policy analysis. He has a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M. Naveen’s work at NRDC is primarily focused on the economic evaluation of the Clean Water Act and its contribution to the US economy. Prior to joining NRDC in May 2012, Naveen’s work at Texas A&M involved evaluation and mitigation of water quality impacts of renewable energy crop production in the United States. His master’s research focused on developing dynamic optimization models for the Ogallala aquifer region in Texas. Naveen’s research interests also include interaction of natural resources and economic development in developing countries. He coauthored a paper analyzing the impacts of drinking water supply on health and economic growth in developing countries.
