Rob Perks serves as Transportation Advocacy Director at the Natural Resources Defense Council, in Washington, D.C. Rob previously served as NRDC’s Associate Director of Programs and before that he directed NRDC’s team of campaign managers guiding our policy experts in shaping and executing strategic campaigns on the institution's environmental priorities. Rob began working for NRDC in 2001, leading communications for the legislative department. For nearly two decades as an environmental activist, Rob has led campaigns for U.S. Public Interest Group, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER). He also served as executive director of the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation in North Carolina. A native of Virginia, Rob is a cum laude graduate of The College of William & Mary and earned a master's degree in environmental policy at The University of Montana.
