Clean and efficient energy
The fossil fuel energy sector is one of the largest contributors to outdoor air pollution in the world. Coal-fired power plants emit harmful global warming pollutants as well as sulfur dioxide, which is responsible for acid rain; mercury, a potent neurotoxin that has poisoned many of our rivers and streams; and particulate matter, which can cause cancer and respiratory ailments.
The best way to reduce these adverse impacts is through energy efficiency. Using less energy is also a great way to save your company money. Visit the Energy section of this guide for more information on ways to reduce your company’s energy consumption and enhance its environmental performance.
