A meteorologist installs a radiometer that gathers data on changes in temperature, sunlight intensity, and carbon dioxide. Scientists believe that these far northern, or boreal, forests are especially susceptible to these climate changes. Scientists predict that in a warmer climate regional tree lines will move north, forests will dry and burn more often, and insects will proliferate.
