Take action on the Bay Area's behalf. Here are some ways you can encourage area legislators to protect the environment and public health.
- Communicate with your legislators -- encourage them to support legislation and policies that protect environmental and public health. Let them know how issues affect you, your family, and your community. See NRDC's Earth Action Center for contact information for federal and state legislators, as well as other tips and tools for communicating effectively with them.
- Vote for candidates committed to environmental and health protections.
- To learn your legislators' environmental voting records, visit the League of Conservation Voters or the California League of Conservation Voters.
- To keep informed and take action on the latest issues affecting the Bay Area and the rest of California, join NRDC's California Activist Network. And you'll find lots more Bay Area green-living tips in our Green Gate Green Guides.
