NRDC Cites Need for Technical and Humanitarian Assistance in Japan

NEW YORK (March 14, 2011) – The Natural Resources Defense Council is closely monitoring the events in Japan. NRDC President Frances Beinecke issued the following statement:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan. They deserve all the technical and humanitarian assistance the world can provide to cope with the aftermath of a catastrophic earthquake, a horrific tsunami and a rapidly unfolding nuclear crisis.”
