GEOFFREY H. FETTUS
is a senior project attorney for NRDC's nuclear program. His litigation and advocacy work focuses on the beginning and end of the nuclear fuel cycle, including issues associated with uranium mining and radioactive waste disposal. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and Haverford College, Geoff worked as an assistant attorney general in New Mexico and for a public interest law firm in New Mexico before joining NRDC in 2001. FINAMORE is a senior attorney and director of NRDC's China clean energy project, which aims to reduce energy consumption and global warming gas emissions in China through innovative policy development and technology demonstration. She has also worked in NRDC's nuclear program, at the U.S. Department of Justice, and as a consultant to the United Nations Development Programme and the Center for International Environmental Law. Barbara has served as president and chair of the Professional Association for China's Environment (PACE) and as vice chairman for public service of the ABA International Environmental Law Committee. She is a founder and board member of the China-U.S. Energy Efficiency Alliance. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Barbara was awarded its Wasserstein Public Service Fellowship in 1993. His litigation and advocacy work focuses on cleaning up existing coal-fired power plants and on challenging proposed liquid coal and electric generation facilities that fail to control carbon dioxide emissions. Shannon also litigates cases aimed at stopping the spread of invasive species in the Great Lakes. Prior to joining NRDC in 2007, he worked as a staff attorney at the Environmental Law and Policy Center, where he worked on a broad range of environmental litigation and policy issues involving forest protection, clean air and clean water. Shannon was also a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Shannon is a graduate of Harvard Law School and received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan in 1996.
