MARK A. IZEMAN
is a senior attorney in the urban environment program in New York. Since 1986, he has worked primarily on a wide range of environmental and public health issues affecting the city and state of New York, including recycling and solid waste, drinking water and brownfields redevelopment. Mark is co-director of the New York regional initiative, which coordinates NRDC's advocacy work in the region. He is also an adjunct professor at Cardozo School of Law and is co-author of The New York Environment Book (Island Press). Previously, he served as law clerk to the federal judge in his home state of Rhode Island. He attended Brown University and New York University School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden scholar.
