ANJALI I. JAISWAL
is a senior attorney in the San Francisco office and the director of NRDC's India Initiative. Her work focuses on litigation to protect the environment and increasing U.S. and India cooperation on climate change and energy. Prior to leading the India Initiative, Anjali focused on domestic litigation to protect water quality and enact stronger efficiency standards and worked with NRDC's Los Angeles urban program. In connection with her work at NRDC, Anjali was a fellow in the Fulbright Indo-American Environmental Leadership Program in 2005 based in New Delhi, India. Prior to joining NRDC, she clerked for U.S. Magistrate Louisa S. Porter in the Southern District of California. She is a graduate of the University of California's Hastings College of Law. Her work focuses on endocrine-disrupting chemicals, which mimic and interfere with normal hormone function. Sarah is a physician-scientist and received her MD and PhD from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a master's in public health from the University of California, Berkeley. She is board-certified in occupational and environmental medicine and co-author of numerous publications and co-editor of the book, Environmental Impacts on Reproductive Health and Fertility.
