In celebration and support of REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries), What is Missing? Foundation is showcasing and giving grants to seven organizations that are working to reduce emissions and protect species and habitat. The grant awards were presented at the Support REDD+ Gala on December 16th at COP15, in association with the Coalition for Rainforest Nations.

Grants provided by What is Missing? Foundation are funded by The Betsy and Jesse Fink Foundation, Louis Bacon/Moore Charitable Foundation, and Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Grant money will be used to offset the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meetings for 2009 and 2010, and to prevent deforestation or strategically replant trees.
