Leroy's Pool, West Branch of the Neversink River. In an interview shortly before his death in 1957, Edward Hewitt, an angler on this river in the early 1900s, said that he wanted to have his ashes scattered over the Neversink. "That way," he said, "it will give the trout a chance to get even."
