She writes about science and the environment for publications including National Geographic, Wired, The New York Times, Men’s Journal, Scientific American, and High Country News, and she is a contributing editor for the website bioGraphic. She is a two-time winner of the AAAS-Kavli Science Journalism award, and is a 2018-19 Ted Scripps Fellow in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado.
