The Chief Executive Officers of 24 national environmental organizations recently sent a letter to President Obama, outlining their concerns about the health and environmental impacts from natural gas production, and putting forth principles essential to guide national policy. They wrote:
"The nation’s use of natural gas must be efficient, and natural gas must be produced by methods that best protect clean water, clean air, land, the climate, human health and sensitive ecosystems."
