Nan Zeng

Project Manager, Conservation Project, China Program

Dr. Nan Zeng has been working on sustainable land management, forestry carbon sequestration, and regenerative agriculture for many years. Currently, her work focuses on promoting Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to achieve synergistic governance of climate change and biodiversity. Zeng previously served as a consultant on conservation strategy design and conservation plan development for several natural reserves and conservation programs. She also worked with the World Bank to complete a pre-feasibility study that evaluated the use of NbS to combat climate change in China, and she spent one year as a research scientist at the University of New Brunswick in Canada. She has published 17 papers in Chinese and English academic journals and was a major contributor to two books on ecological protection. Zeng received her PhD in ecology from Inner Mongolia Agricultural University in China and is a certified coach in the Global Conservation Coaches Network.
