Oklahoma had nearly a millennium's worth of earthquakes in just two years.

Historically speaking, the state gets an average of two quakes a year registering above 3.0 on the Richter scale. But 842 such quakes shook Oklahoma last year, following 585 in 2014. Oil and gas operations in the state have triggered a dangerous surge in manmade tremors. The Guardian
