Case Studies of Fostering Green Businesses

Fostering green business growth and leveraging public infrastructure investments to meet other goals, like social and economic development, are common concerns of cities nationwide. NRDC contracted Booz Allen Hamilton (Booz Allen) to research and develop case studies of communities that have successfully fostered creation of green businesses or otherwise helped innovative businesses start and grow. The study identifies strategies and best practices that leverage public green infrastructure investments to support local economic development, and offer recommendations for cities wishing to build economic activity around green infrastructure investments.
