President Trump Flails at Science & Fails on Climate Action

WASHINGTON – President Trump made the outlandish claim today in Davos, Switzerland that so-called “prophets of doom” were misleading the world about the scientific and real-world evidence of the growing dangers and rising costs of climate change.

Following is a statement from John Bowman, managing director of Government Affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council:

“Once again, President Trump’s confused. The profits of doom are enriching his fossil fuel cronies. The rest of us are paying the price. It’s a sorry day when the world looks to a 17-year-old—Greta Thunberg--to tell us the truth, while the president flails at science and dismisses the growing public demand for action.”
