Another well blow-out during hydraulic fracturing

In June I blogged about a well blow out in Pennsylvania during a hydraulic fracturing operation. Officials estimated that one million gallons of hydraulic fracturing fluid, including chemical additives, plus an undetermined amount of wet natural gas, blew out of the well.

Earlier this month, there was a blow-out during a hydraulic fracturing job in North Dakota. It is estimated that over 60,000 gallons of hydraulic fracturing fluid, plus 7,000 gallons of oil, were blown out of the well into the environment.
