Program Assistant, New York Regional & Environmental Justice, Healthy People & Thriving Communities program
As a member of the New York Regional and Environmental Justice teams, Jhena Vigrass supports efforts to fight fossil fuel infrastructure, protect drinking water, and advocate for communities. Prior to NRDC, Vigrass interned with the Huron River Watershed Council, The Wilderness Society’s Government Relations team, Hazon, and most recently was a Food Justice Fellow with Repair the World NYC. There she created and managed the Brooklyn Farm Crew, a group of dedicated volunteers who farm together at local urban farms. Vigrass holds bachelor’s degrees in viola performance and environmental studies, with a focus on environmental psychology and motivating pro-environmental behavior change. She is based in NRDC’s New York office.
