Chief Strategy Officer
Prior to her appointment as chief strategy officer, Michelle Egan led NRDC’s communications department, overseeing everything from communications strategy to execution, including work areas and product focused on research, advocacy, membership, fund-raising, media relations, marketing, content, design, and digital across all channels. Before joining NRDC as deputy director of communications in 2014, she worked at Hallmark Cards as creative director for Hallmark Digital and New Business Development. Egan has taught at New York University and the University of Kansas and has earned multiple awards. She sits on Kansas State University’s Design Thinking advisory board. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and graphic design from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Egan is based in NRDC’s New York office.
