Research Associate, American Cities Climate Challenge
Olivia Walker provides research and resource creation support for the buildings- and energy-related climate actions within the American Cities Climate Challenge. In addition, she provides technical and advocacy support directly to Climate Challenge cities working to draft, pass, and implement ambitious energy efficiency and decarbonization policies and programs. In her previous roles at NRDC, Walker was the program coordinator for the Climate Challenge and the program assistant for City Energy Project—a collaboration between NRDC and the Institute for Market Transformation dedicated to reducing energy waste from buildings via local-level policies. She holds a bachelor of science in geology and geophysics with a focus in energy and environmental geoscience from Yale University. She is based out of NRDC's Santa Monica office.
