Sarah Fort

Managing Litigator

Sarah Fort litigates environmental cases in both state and federal courts and has worked on cases to reduce stormwater pollution, ensure access to safe drinking water, protect marine mammals, and defend the public's right to information about harmful chemicals. Prior to joining NRDC, Fort worked at the Southern Environmental Law Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, and clerked for Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV on the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She also worked for Partnerships for Parks in New York City. Fort holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University and a JD from Harvard Law School. She is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
