Seth Atkinson works on fisheries law and policy at both the federal and state levels. Most recently, he has concentrated on ensuring sustainable catch levels, protecting fish habitat, rebuilding depleted fish populations, and strengthening governance and accountability structures. Prior to joining NRDC in 2010, Atkinson clerked for the U.S. District Court in Vermont. He graduated from Amherst College before going on to receive his master’s in environmental management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and his J.D. from Yale Law School. He is based in San Francisco.
