NRDC's mission is to safeguard the Earth, its people, its plants and animals and the natural systems on which all life depends.

Donate: Workplace Giving: EarthShare

One of the most simple and efficient ways to donate to NRDC is by contributing through EarthShare in your workplace charity campaign. EarthShare manages environmental giving campaigns in workplaces for environmental and conservation charities, more than 40 national and international organizations.

EarthShareBy contributing to NRDC through EarthShare, you may pledge that a small amount of each paycheck be automatically deducted to support NRDC's mission of protecting public health and the environment.

What's more, EarthShare provides the option of giving a single gift that is distributed among all of its members, covering the widest variety of environmental and conservation issues. The choice is yours.

Participating Companies
More and more workplaces now allow their employees to contribute to NRDC through EarthShare. Among them: American Express, Harvard University, American Airlines, Sears, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hewlett Packard, HBO, Aveda, Dell, Tom's of Maine, Emory University, and many more.

Giving as a Federal Employee
As a member of EarthShare, NRDC participates annually in the largest workplace giving campaign in the nation -- the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for employees of the federal government and the U.S. military. If you are a federal government or military employee and would like to give to NRDC through the CFC, please enter CFC code # 10623 on your pledge card during the next fund drive.

Giving Through Your United Way Campaign
Several local United Ways include EarthShare in their list of charities. United Way donors in the areas of Washington, DC; Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC; Rhode Island; Washtenaw County, MI; San Diego, CA, and others may designate their United Way donations to NRDC through EarthShare. Even if EarthShare is not listed in your company's United Way campaign brochure, you may still donate to EarthShare and any of EarthShare's member organizations by writing in a "donor choice" option.
