Earth, A Primer — Trailer from Chaim Gingold on Vimeo.

What if, with a swipe of your humble index finger, you could collide tectonic plates, form mountain ranges, make it rain, and direct the wind? You’d feel pretty powerful, right? Yeah, learning can do that. Earth: A Primer is described as “a science book for playful people.” The iPad app, developed by Chaim Gingold, teaches geomorphology by making users forces of nature.

Humans, of course, have been known to muck up a global-scale process or two IRL, and we all know how that’s going. So how will the world fare in your hands? Remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
