Jared Knicley

Managing Litigator

Jared Knicley has litigated cases to defend imperiled species, public lands, and historic sites; to protect communities from harmful chemical spills; to ensure the availability of healthier and more sustainable consumer products; and to enforce clean air, clean water, and safe drinking water laws against polluters. Prior to joining NRDC, Knicley clerked for Judge Diana Gribbon Motz on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He holds a bachelor's degree in urban planning from the University of Virginia and a JD from Harvard Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Harvard Environmental Law Review. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
