Potential of Co-benefit Mercury Control for Coal-Fired Power Plants and Industrial Boilers in China

Prepared for NRDC by the School of Environment at China's Tsinghua University, this report estimates mercury emissions from coal-fired power plants and coal-fired industrial boilers in China, and evaluates the mercury emission reduction co-benefit associated with various control and energy consumption scenarios.

Preliminary Survey of Artisanal and Small Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) in China

This case study, conducted in Lingbao, Henan province, and Tongguan, Shaanxi province, by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, completed in August 2014, examines mercury use in small-scale gold mining at two locations where significant mercury use was previously reported.
