Community Letter: Eight Environmental Groups Tell Congress Flint Funding is Overdue

Letter
September 22, 2016

Eight environmental groups urge the Congress to pass a CR that addresses the long standing crisis in Flint, Michigan. The latest Senate version of the CR unveiled on September 22, 2016 includes money for the flooding in Louisiana but none for Flint. While the people impacted by the flooding in Louisiana deserve help, it is horrific that the victims of the man-made disaster in Flint have been forced to wait so long for assistance from Congress.  It is past time for the Congress to stop ignoring the victims of in Flint and provide them relief in the CR.
