Letter to President Obama Applauding Him for Repeatedly Raising the Threat of Climate Change

Nearly 70 national and regional conservation, environmental, health and public advocacy organizations are sending a letter to President Obama applauding him for repeatedly raising the threat of climate change, and calls on him to take three specific steps to help promote clean energy and reduce carbon emissions that are key drivers of climate change. They are to continue elevating the issue before the American public; to use existing authority to curb carbon pollution, particularly at existing power plants; and to reject dirty fuels, beginning with denying the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline.
