Scientist Sign on Letter Denouncing EFSA Glyphosate Review

November 28, 2015

An open letter from 96 prominent epidemiologists, toxicologists, statisticians and molecular biologists from 25 countries denouncing the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) decision that the widely used herbicide, glyphosate (the main ingredient of Roundup) "is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic hazard to humans." The EFSA decision is in conflict with the recent scientific review of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), finding that glyphosate "probably" causes cancer in people (a Group 2A carcinogen).
