The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a press release celebrating 143 businesses and organizations across the country for their achievements in improving energy efficiency technologies. But while the agency honors those recipients of the Energy Star Partner of the Year Award for their “commitment to saving energy, saving money, and protecting the environment,” the Trump administration is proposing to kill off the Energy Star program with massive budget cuts to the agency. Apparently saving billions of dollars a year on energy consumption isn’t one of Trump’s business strategies.
