Trump’s budget director says funding climate change research is a waste of money

The president’s draconian budget would eviscerate federal funding for climate research—and Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s director of the Office of Management and Budget, wielded the White House budget axe without mercy. “As to climate change, I think the president was fairly straightforward: We’re not spending money on that anymore,” Mulvaney stated. “We consider that to be a waste of your money to go out and do that.” Polling shows that most Americans would disagree with Trump and his gang. In fact, another opinion survey shows that even a majority of Trump voters supports upholding or strengthening current climate change policies and requiring companies to reduce their carbon pollution.
