Extreme weather is ravaging American agriculture. How has it affected your state and county?

The weather has been tough on American farmers over the last few years. But you're paying for these tough times too: Most farmers carry Federal Crop Insurance, which is subsidized by the federal government and serves as the primary risk management tool for farmers, yet the Federal Crop Insurance Program does little to help prepare farmers for the challenges of climate change. When farmers lose their crops, your federal taxes help pay for part of farmers' insurance claims. Unless farmers become more resilient to increasing weather pressures, this already large federal program is primed to spiral out of control
