Erik Kamrath (he/him)

Erik Kamrath leads NRDC's federal hydrogen policy work. Prior to joining NRDC, Kamrath worked at the Union of Concerned Scientists as a senior Washington representative, where he led federal policy advocacy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the agriculture sector, provide protections and support for food and farmworkers, and create a more sustainable food and farm system in the U.S. Kamrath also worked for former U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) where he covered energy, environment, and agriculture policy. In the senator’s office, he worked on policy to restore the Florida Everglades, oppose the Keystone XL pipeline, oppose offshore oil drilling, and promote solar and wind energy. Kamrath graduated from Florida State University, American University’s Master of Public Administration program, and holds a certificate from Stanford University’s Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies online program. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
