Farinaz Motlagh (she/her)

Farinaz Motlagh joined NRDC for a six-month internship as an awardee of the National Science Foundation Non-Academic Research Internship for Graduate Students (NSF-INTERN) Program. Her work at NRDC includes assessing the extent to which the pool of federal grant applicants and awardees reflects an equitable distribution of resources. Motlagh is currently pursuing her PhD in marine and atmospheric sciences at Stony Brook University, NY, and her dissertation research focuses on evaluating the equity and effectiveness of flood mitigation spending programs. She is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
