J.P. Rose leads NRDC’s campaign to reduce harmful nitrogen pollution from agriculture while safeguarding public health, clean water, and wildlife. He also oversees strategies to promote healthier farming practices that restore soil health and protect ecosystems. Prior to joining NRDC, Rose worked at the Center for Biological Diversity, where he directed legislative advocacy campaigns resulting in the passage of the Room to Roam Act, Poison-Free Wildlife Act, and Safe Roads and Wildlife Protection Act. Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Santa Clara University and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. He is based in NRDC’s Santa Monica office.
