Lizzy Kaval is a connector and weaver of people and information, working to support and empower staff to center equity and justice in their work. Bringing over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Kaval has worked with executive and program-level leadership and collaborated with hundreds of staff in DEI spaces to advance important racial equity goals. In addition to their lived experience of being queer and neurodiverse, Kaval brings with them an interdisciplinary academic background in cultural anthropology, sociology, and gender and sexuality studies. In their current role, Kaval works alongside a diverse coalition of NRDC advocates to enhance their collective understanding and practice of equity through the use of frameworks, tools, and trainings that help achieve equitable and just outcomes in NRDC’s advocacy.
