Neela Ram
Neela Ram is responsible for driving partnership and policy advocacy strategies in the Southeast region. Previously, she served as NRDC’s Atlanta climate advisor through the American Cities Climate Challenge and was the Southeast regional director for the institution’s People & Communities program. Prior to joining NRDC, Ram led water supply planning initiatives for the Atlanta Regional Commission. Her efforts helped contribute to a more than 30 percent reduction in the region’s per capita water use. Ram received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Emory University and a master’s degree in city and regional planning and public policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a proud Atlanta resident and is deeply committed to helping shape a just clean energy transition in the Southeast region.
