Abi Vijayan (she/her)
Abi Vijayan works to reduce climate pollution under the Clean Air Act, with a focus on developing, protecting, and enforcing strong federal standards through litigation and administrative advocacy. Prior to joining NRDC, Vijayan spent 15 years at the Environmental Protection Agency, working as an attorney-advisor on major Clean Air Act regulations, including those over the power and oil & gas sectors and the implementation of national soot and smog standards. She later served as the assistant general counsel for the National Ambient Air Quality Standards practice group. Vijayan holds a bachelor’s degree and a JD from the University of Texas. She is based in NRDC’s Washington, D.C., office.
