Becca Cudmore

From her home in Oregon, Becca Cudmore wrote about ecology, evolution, and anthropology. She studied anthropology and biology at the University of Oregon, then earned a Master’s in science journalism from New York University. Her articles appear in Audubon, Nautilis, and Scientific American, among other outlets. Cudmore was pursuing a Ph.D. in science communication at the University of Oregon when she passed away at the age of 32, after a brave battle with autoimmune encephalitis. Her story for NRDC about the Yurok Tribe’s California condor restoration program was her final work.
