Dawone Robinson

Dawone Robinson advocates for and defends NRDC's institutional priorities in the Southeast, strengthening relationships with elected officials and partner organizations. In his previous roles at NRDC, Robinson was the Northeastern/Mid-Atlantic director of energy affordability, working to decrease energy burdens for multifamily and low-income residents, and he most recently served as climate strategy lead for fossil fuels and clean energy within the climate strategy office. Prior to NRDC, Robinson lived in Richmond, Virginia and was the Virginia policy director for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network. He was appointed to Virginia's first environmental justice advisory council by Governor Terry McAuliffe. Robinson received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and his JD from Drake University Law School. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
