A journalist for more than 30 years, including serving as a national and foreign correspondent for the Washington Post and Baltimore Sun, Struck now specializes in global-warming issues and teaches journalism. His reporting on climate change has taken him everywhere from the Arctic and the Northwest Passage to the Andes and the Boreal Forest. He won a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University in 2003–2004 and was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2002.
