Pete Budden leads NRDC's hydrogen advocacy both in the United States and internationally, as part of our broad effort to decarbonize the industrial sector. He also works to extend the expertise gained from our hydrogen advocacy to other industrial end-uses, specifically about clean electricity requirements and accounting. Prior to joining NRDC, Budden researched next-generation solar energy technology, earning his PhD in physics and undertaking a postdoctoral fellowship. He also worked for the Climate Change Committee in the United Kingdom as an industrial decarbonization analyst, where he modeled decarbonization technologies, including hydrogen. Budden graduated from the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. He is based in NRDC's New York office.
