Raiana McKinney advocates for enduring and effective policies that protect marine biodiversity beyond national jurisdiction, representing NRDC at the United Nations and other international fora. Prior to joining NRDC, she led the Pew Charitable Trusts’ engagement at several regional fishery management organizations and supported global efforts to regulate the trade of sharks and rays. McKinney holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from New York University and a master’s degree in international relations from Harvard University. She is based in NRDC’s New York office.
