Talia Calnek-Sugin (she/her)
Talia Calnek-Sugin leads government affairs work for the Sustainable FERC Project. She advocates for federal policy and legislation that expands and strengthens the electric grid, speeds the transition from fossil fuels to renewables, and limits the expansion of gas and LNG infrastructure. Prior to NRDC, Calnek-Sugin led Sierra Club's federal LNG advocacy. Before that, she focused on international climate policy, working at the British Embassy on UK-US collaboration in the lead-up to COP26 and at the World Resources Institute on the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement. Calnek-Sugin holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Williams College and a master of science in environment and development from the London School of Economics. She is based in NRDC's New York office.
