Todd Gleason

Senior Litigating Counsel

Todd W. Gleason was a 20-year veteran of the Department of Justice, working in the Environmental Crimes and Environmental Defense Sections. In his roles as trial attorney, senior trial attorney, and senior litigation counsel, he has litigated civil and criminal matters in federal courts of appeal and district courts throughout the country. Gleason has tried cases under the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, Superfund, the Lacey Act, the Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships, and other environmental, wildlife, and worker-protection statutes. He holds a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University, a master of science from the State University of New York's College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and a JD from Syracuse University, where he was a member of the Syracuse Law Review. Gleason is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
