Fracking Wastewater Spill in North Dakota Hits America's Longest River - The Missouri

I wrote last week about an oil spill in the Yellowstone River outside of Glendive, Montana. Today, we learn that fracking wastewater from a different spill - a spill that leaked somewhere around 3 million gallons of contaminated water from a pipeline - has reached the iconic Missouri River.

The oil and gas industry will say that this was, as always, an accident, but the truth is these "accidents" shouldn't be happening this frequently.

And the reality is that unless Montanans want these "accidents" to become part of our daily lives in our backyards, we need to speak up to keep this kind of reckless oil and gas development out of our communities.
